d'Al-Âla, la tradition classique arabo-andalouse du Maroc composée

Nûba al-Mâya est enregistrée ici par l'Orchestre
de Tanger sous la direction d'Ahmed Zaytouni Sahraoui. Durée
totale : 7h40.
Cette nûbâ vespérale au style majestueux remarquablement
mis en valeur par l'orchestre de Tanger contient notamment une série
de chants très connue dans les milieux citadins sous le nom de
Shams al-'ashiya, le Soleil du soir.

The largest work ever undertaken for the protection of musical inheritage:
the complete recording of Al-Âla repertory, the classical Arabo-andalusian
tradition from Morocco which is composed of 11 vocal and instrumental
suites, the Nûba. Vocals, rbab, violins, violas, lutes, cello
and percussion instruments.
The Nûba al-Mâya is recorded here by the Tangiers Orchestra,
conducted by Ahmed Zaytouni Sahraoui. Total time: 7h40mn.
This nûbâ is usually played at dusk. Its majesty is remarkably
highlighted by the Tangiers orchestra's interpretation. It contains,
among others, a series of songs quite well know among urban milieu
under the name of Shams al-'ashiya, the Evening Sun.
